Participants will learn effective methods for conducting human centric interviews, building trust with survivors, and ensuring their dignity is maintained throughout the investigative process. The training also addresses critical topics such as male victimization, exploring the unique challenges and needs faced by male survivors of victimization.
Additionally, the session covers investigating recantations, providing strategies for assessing credibility and managing complex cases where victims may withdraw their statements. Finally, the training emphasizes that voluntary intoxication is not equivalent to consent, highlighting the importance of understanding impairment and respecting survivors’ rights while conducting thorough and ethical investigations.
